Today, we gather in remembrance of an angel who touched our lives in profound ways, albeit for a fleeting moment. Jonah Chambers was born into the arms of angels on August 13, 2025, bringing with him a sense of hope and love that will forever resonate within the hearts of his family. Though he was born sleeping, the impact of his existence is immeasurable, and his memory will be cherished deeply.
Jonah is survived by his loving parents, John and Zobeida Chambers, who held him close in their hearts despite his brief time with them. He will be dearly missed by his siblings, Zaida and Wesley Chambers, who will carry his spirit with them throughout their lives.
The love for Jonah extends beyond his immediate family. He is also survived by his adoring grandparents: Leticia and Carlos Rivera of Los Fresnos, John and Christina Chambers of Los Fresnos, Paulina and Tim Galloway of San Angelo, and Alfredo Jaramillo of Los Fresnos. In addition, Jonah leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever hold him dear in their memories. Each member of the family will undoubtedly remember him as a source of inspiration, hope, and love.
While Jonah's time with us was heartbreakingly short, his presence serves as a poignant reminder of the preciousness of life. He has shown us that even the smallest beings can leave an enduring mark on those around them. The extraordinary love shared within a family is encapsulated in Jonah's memory—a testament to the profound connections we forge in our lives.
As we reflect on Jonah's spirit, we recognize the unconditional love that binds families together. He is a symbol of resilience and tenderness, reminding us to cherish every moment and to hold our loved ones close. In the words of Dr. Seuss, "A person's a person, no matter how small." This truth resonates deeply as we honor Jonah's life, however brief it may have been.
To our beloved Jonah, we express our gratitude for the love you brought to our lives in such a short time. Though you may have left this world, you will remain forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew you. May your spirit rest in peace, surrounded by the love you so abundantly gave to your family.
The Chambers family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 10 o'clock Saturday morning. Following the service, Jonah will be laid to rest at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
