     Jonah Justice, age 88, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Jonah was born on January 23, 1934 to his parents hte late Jimper Justice and Lizzie Blackburn Justice.  He was the husband of Helen Myers Cole Justice, a retired coal miner, and a member of the Miller's Creek Church of Christ.  He was a member of the D.A.V., UMWA, and he also served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War.

     Along with his parents, Jonah was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Justice, one granddaughter, Amanda Justice, and three sisters, Lacy Bishop, Loraine Melton, and Christine Adams.

     Along with his wife, Jonah is survived by one son, Jeffery (Connie) Justice, daughter in law: Sherry Justice, one brother, Willie (Linda) Justice, one sister, Brenda (Bubby) Bevins, four grandchildren, Brody (Holly) Justice, Clint Justice, Carlee Justice, Jonah (Caroline) , four great grandchildren, Brycen, Lydia, Maggie, & Reece Justice, and a host of loving family and friends.

     Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Miller's Creek Church of Christ.  Church services will be Saturday and Sunday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Monday, Dec. 2, 2024 at 1p.m. at the Miller's Creek Church of Christ with Charlie Ward, Joe Ray Horn, and Bryant Justice officiating.  Burial will follow in the McCoy Cemetery at Knob Fork of Zebulon.
