Jonas Motes Obituary
Jonas is the beloved father of Jonas Myron Motes Jr. (Elaine Motes) and Eric John Motes (Christy Motes); cherished grandfather of David Layne Motes; and adored brother of Timothy I. Motes (Karina Vitale) and Leigh Ann Rachow (Jeffrey E. Rachow). He also leaves behind a host of extended family members and friends whom he loved dearly.
Jonas graduated with Honors from Delgado Community College in New Orleans. He was employed as a Thermal Protection Systems Technician with Lockheed Martin and a Measurement Specialist with Southern Petroleum Laboratories. Jonas was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing, but loved nothing more than time spent with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell. A funeral service will begin in the chapel at 11:00. Memories and condolences may be expressed at www.AudubonFuneralHome.com
