Shane Chapman Obituary
Shane Chapman and Robin Grubb were married at a very young and impressionable age and, shortly thereafter, had a beautiful daughter named Nicole Deanne who gave him four wonderful grandkids who he loved very much, Brooklyn, Robert, Tanner, and Peyton.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Abe Chapman; grandmother, Vera Chapman, who he cherished dearly; his father, John W. Chapman; his stepfather, Paul J. Anonsen; and by the mother of his daughter Nicole, Robin Chapman.
He is survived by his mother, Thelma Anonsen; four siblings, Ardelle Cavazos, Slade Anonsen, Shawn Chapman, and Sherina Chapman; and his daughter, Nicole Evans.
Shane lived his life the way he wanted to live it. He was a handful when he was a kid but I think that's because he was so smart and talented that he needed to be kept busy doing something all the time or he would get bored and get into mischief.
He had many talents in life such as writing his own songs with music he created and playing the guitar like a boss! He knew how to build a house from the ground up. He could rebuild an engine if needed (cursing the whole time of course LOL) and he could make anything out of a piece of wood. He had a sense of humor like no one I ever knew.
Shane always stood up for the underdogs, befriended the outcasts, and always helped others when he could, including animals. He couldn't pass a dog without picking it up and taking it home to take care of it and love it. God, country, family, and his pets were everything to him!
He faced many personal challenges throughout his life and he always managed somehow to overcome those challenges.
Shane will be laid to rest with military honors in the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
He will forever be remembered in our hearts. We will miss you, Shane!

So sad to hear this. My Mom, Dot West Holmes visited him a few years back and kept in touch with him. My heart goes out to his family, friends and pets.
