Jonas M. Schwartz, 77, of Hicksville, Ohio passed away at home on Sunday, September 28, 2025.

Jonas was born in Berne, Indiana, on November 28, 1947 a son of the late Mary (Miller) and Jacob Schwartz.

He was united in marriage to Mandy (Wickey) on April 27, 1978. Jonas lived his life for God and his family who he provided for with his steady hands at the sawmill.

Jonas will be missed greatly by his wife, Mandy; children, Neal Schwartz, Suzanne (Melvin) Schwartz, Jonas (Barbara) Schwartz, Jr. all of Hicksville, Rachel (Jason) Graber of Spencerville, Indiana, Lorene Schwartz, Edwin (Hannah) Schwartz and Stephan Schwartz all of Hicksville; grandchildren, Alan, Kenneth, Megan, Makayla, Colton, Cameron, Logan, Dustin, Lewis and Alivia Schwartz, Caleb, Andrew, Austin Graber and Jonah Schwartz; 4 brothers and 5 sisters.

He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Ann; daughters Laura and Sarah; grandson, Sheldon; 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

Visitation for Jonas will be held Monday, September 29th, 6 - 8 PM and Tuesday, September 30th, 10 AM - 12 PM, 2 - 4 PM and 6 - 8 PM in the Hicksville Amish Community Building, 7207 Hicksville Edgerton Road, Hicksville, Ohio.

Funeral services for Jonas will be held Wednesday, October 1st at 9 AM in the Hicksville Amish Community Building.

Jonas will be laid to rest in the Hicksville Amish Cemetery following the funeral.
