Ruth V. Fry, 91, of Woodburn, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center.
Ruth was born in Edgerton, IN on July 30, 1934, a daughter of the late Minnie (Mobley) & Ezra Stoller.
Ruth graduated as Valedictorian from Woodburn High School in 1952 and went on to enjoy a fulfilling career as a Real Estate Agent. On May 2, 1953, she married the love of her life, Lester Fry, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love and devotion. As a young girl, Ruth loved playing the piano. She had a passion for travel, especially family camping trips and memorable vacations to Alaska, Kiawah Island, Branson, Missouri, and Fairfield Glade, Tennessee. A faithful and active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Woodburn, Ruth’s love for Christ was evident in her care for family and others. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, watching home improvement shows, and planning her next travel adventure. Ruth’s legacy of love, faith, and kindness lives on in all who knew her.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Dennis Fry; Vickie (Alan) Sears; & David (Deb) Fry.
Ruth was also preceded in death by her husband, Lester, & sister, Pauline Zirkelbach.
Service is Wednesday, September 17th at 11 AM with viewing from 9 to 10:45 AM at Christ Lutheran Church, 4412 Park St, Woodburn, IN 46797.
She will be laid to rest in Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Woodburn.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church.
