Jonathan M Alexander, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on November 1, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and service. Born on July 10, 1962, Jonathan's life was marked by his dedication, both to his family and his country. He served honorably for eight years in the U.S. Marines, exemplifying the values of courage and commitment that defined his character.
Jonathan was known for his vibrant spirit and diverse interests. He had a passion for military history, gun collecting, was actively involved with an online gaming group, and had participated in the Society for Creative Anachronisms. These pursuits allowed him to connect with like-minded individuals and create meaningful memories that will resonate with many for years to come.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Leora Alexander, whose strength and love were instrumental in shaping Jonathan’s life. He is also survived by his brothers, James and David, along with David's wife, Evelyn. Jonathan was a proud uncle to three nieces and five great-nieces and nephews, who adored him and will fondly remember the moments they shared with him.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his father, James W Alexander, whose influence and guidance played a significant role in his life. The bond they shared is one that will remain etched in the hearts of all who loved them.
As family and friends gather to celebrate Jonathan's life, a memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on November 8, 2025, at Berean Baptist Church & Academy in Ogden, Utah. This will be a time to reflect on the joy he brought into our lives and to honor a man whose memory will forever live on. His generous spirit, great sense of humor, and passionate pursuits will be deeply missed but remembered with great affection. Military Honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Post 1695.
