Jonathan Blunt Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Quinn Funeral Home - Warwick on May 30, 2025.
Jonathan E. Blunt, a longtime Machinist and employee for Bostitch, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the Riverview Nursing Home. He was 75 years old. Jonathan shared 52 years of marriage with the love of his life, Joyce A. (Noti) Blunt who passed away just 20 days prior to him. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Earle A. and Jeanne M. (McGettrick) Blunt.
By a chance meeting, he met and fell in love with a young Joyce Noti. After a period of dating, they married and settled in Warwick where they raised their two daughters. She was his 'once in a lifetime' love and he doted on and gave her whatever she asked for. Prior to his illness, he loved and looked forward to the 4th of July celebrations but there was no holiday he enjoyed more than Halloween. He always dressed in the most elaborate costumes, loved greeting (and scaring) the Trick-or-Treaters and a highlight of the holiday was taking the family on a hayride to pick out pumpkins that they would later carve together and roast the seeds. In his younger years, he loved being outdoors whether it be chopping wood or Quahogging on the Bay, which was a memory he carried with him from when he was younger and would go with his Dad.
Jonathan was the father of Michelle Moschetti and her husband, Richard and Felicia Mather and her husband, Eric; cherished 'Papa' of Tyler Johnston, Adriana 'Rose' Johnston, Nicolas Moschetti and Joseph Moschetti. He was the brother of Nancy Weeden and also leaves behind dear family friend Michelle 'Shelly' Ball whom he thought of as one of his own daughters.
His services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
