Jonathan Craven Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Garr Funeral Services on Dec. 19, 2025.
Jonathan Craven, 32, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on November 22, 2025. He was born on August 20, 1993, in New Albany, Indiana, to Scott Bruner and Mary Loesch.

Jonathan is survived by his loving husband of seven years, Matthew Craven; his mother, Mary Jankins; his brothers, Matthew Bruner, Jacob Bruner, and Noah Goldsmith-Bruner; along with many extended family members, dear friends, and his beloved fur babies who meant the world to him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Shirley and Raymond Loesch, and his mother-in-law, Sheila Clark, whom Jonathan lovingly referred to as his "second mom."

Jonathan was truly one of a kind. He had a natural green thumb and found joy in gardening, baking, DIY projects, and being a talented handyman who was always eager to help others. He had a deep love for animals and animal rescue, often volunteering his time and heart without hesitation. Selfless to his core, Jonathan would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

A devoted family man and an amazing friend, Jonathan had a bold, spicy personality that lit up every room he entered. He knew no strangers and made sure everyone around him felt welcomed, seen, and loved. His compassion, humor, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Jonathan would move mountains for the people and animals he loved. His heart of gold, kind soul, and unwavering love will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
