Mr. Jonathan Lee Daniels, age 28 years old, of Valdosta, Ga. (formerly Pearson) passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024, in Valdosta, Ga. He was born in Douglas, Ga. on September 24, 1995, son of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny and Maxine Deaton Daniels. Jonathan worked at South Ga. Medical Center in Valdosta, as a Security Guard and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Johnny Daniels.
Survivors include:
Mother: Maxine Daniels of Pearson, Ga.
Sister: Diane Stewart and husband Jamie of Nicholls, Ga.
Aunts & Uncles: Alice Bourgion of Thomson, Ga.
Rebecca Whitley of Valdosta, Ga.
Jean Daniels and husband James Greg of Willacoochee, Ga.
Carolyn Macias and husband Andrew of Summerville, S.C.
Jerry Wayne Deaton of Waynesboro, Ga.
Nieces & Nephew: Amanda McCrea and husband Logan of Douglas, Ga.
Heather Wilson of Douglas, Ga.
Karley Williams and husband Brock of Lyons, Ga.
Logan Stewart of Nicholls, Ga.
Several other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Jonathan were held on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Relihan Funeral Home Chapel in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Kevin Bounds officiating and Mr. Nate Williams delivering the Eulogy. Special musical selections included, “Jealous of the Angels” and “Go Rest High” rendered by cd. The interment followed in Sunnyside Cemetery.
Serving as active pallbearers were: Nelson Morris, Logan Stewart, Brock Williams, Jeff McCrae, Nate Williams, and Ryan Stewart.
Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
