Jonathan Gomes Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory on Jan. 9, 2026.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected death of Jonathan Vincent Gomes. December ----- 2025 in Stuart Florida.
Jonathan was born to Robert Vincent Gomes and Susan Ann- Spradley-Gomes in Martin Memorial Hospital on Wednesday November 28th, 1979. Jon was a lifelong resident of Martin County and attended Martin County schools. Additional education was with the Indian River State Fire Fighter 1 & 2 and EMT programs. But his passion was painting and cars. For many years he was employed by Wallace Auto Body as a specialty auto body painter. He had an eye for color and a talent for precision. That led to a position with Triumph of Stuart, which fed Jon's Aerospace dreams, doing specialized painting of airplane wings. As Jon would say, "It's all in the details."
It wasn't uncommon to see Jon wearing his Jimmy Johnson "48" Cap or Jersey. If you knew or met Jon, you knew he loved anything Nascar, Moroso speedway, Mudding at River Ranch, 4 wheeling, Monster Trucks, Monster Java, Red Bull, Blasting the Racing Channel on T.V., Mountain Dew, Pizza, Halloween Horror Night at Universal Orlando, Reese's Peanut Butter cups, Beef Jerky, Video Games, (especially Fortnight). A special Highlight for Jonathan was working with his dad together on his dad's 1st car.
Jonathan was enthusiastic about including his family in his favorite events and outings. His son Jase had joined him in the most recent couple years for many of these adventures. And in years prior, Jon had his daughter Kamryn and step son Jereme in tow to share in that same family fun. It was even more fun if that meant when they got home, they had to throw away the clothing they were wearing and clean up outside to wash off all the mud.
He is survived by his Father: Robert Vincent Gomes (Irene & daughters, & Children & families) Port St. Lucie Florida, his son Jase Jonathan Gomes (Jase's mother -former spouse, Jennifer Broome and Jase's brother, Jereme Broome) Hobe Sound, Florida, Sister Jessica Gomes and Children (Dewasha, Travis & Kadasha Gomes and families) Port St. Lucie Florida and several lifelong friends. We are thankful and grateful that Jonathan enjoyed the blessings and the joy of being part of loving families for many years.
A celebration of Life is being planned by his family for a future date.
Jonathan was predeceased in death by his mother, Susan Ann Spradley Bryant and his daughter, Kamryn Noelle Gomes.
Remember Jonathan for all that he loved. Remember him on Halloween or the next time you go to Daytona Raceway. Or maybe the next time you take your kids 4 wheeling or just enjoying a pizza with your family. Think of him the next time you bite off a hunk of Beef Jerky and wash it down with a sip of Mountain Dew. He is right there with you. Remember it's our memories that keep him alive in our hearts.
May God bless you Jon.
