Services at Hebrew Young Men's Cemetery, on Monday, August 5, 2024 at 2:00 pm. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to National Aquarium, 501 E. Pratt Street, Baltimore, MD 21202 or Gilchrist Hospice, 11311 McCormick Road, Suite 350, Hunt Valley, MD 21031. The family will be in mourning at 6109 Eastcliff Drive, Baltimore, MD, 21209, after interment until 5:30 pm, and Tuesday, a virtual shiva will be held from 6:30pm - 8pm.

Dr. Jonathan Holt was a close friend, who I worked with for many years at the Sheppard Pratt Health System. He was a consummate psychiatrist, who valued understanding his patients and relieving their pain. He was a menschenkenner, a knower of people, who worked well with colleagues and treatment teams. His sense of humor and perspective gave me many smiles over the lunches and intellectual discussions we shared. He was also a spiritual man, who was intrigued by what an afterlife might hold. I'm aware he was weighed down by pain and illness in his last years, but I shall miss him greatly and will carry his memory with me for the rest of my days.
