Jonathan Edward Holt

Jonathan Edward Holt, age 29, of Wexford, passed away on January 30, 2026, after falling on ice and suffering a traumatic brain injury.

Jonathan was born on March 6, 1996, in Pittsburgh to John and Deborah (Kerr) Holt. From the day he was born, something about his life has connected Christians across the Pittsburgh area.

Throughout his life, he struggled with many medical issues, including open heart surgery, spinal fusion, and lymphagetasia. In spite of his medical challenges, he maintained a positive spirit, knowing where his eternal hope was. Accepting him for who he was, the Christian community empowered him to grow. At Orchard Hill Church, Jonathan wholeheartedly served and inspired those around him.

Over the last five years, Jonathan truly found his stride, enjoying good health, a supportive church, and work that brought him joy. He thrived while serving at the Wexford Chick-fil-A, where his friendliness and natural passion for helping others were able to shine.

Jonathan loved spending time with his family, particularly on their many trips together. He was a devoted uncle who shared a special bond with his young nieces and nephews. Outside of family, he was passionate about travel, airplanes, cars, sports, and flying his drone.

He is survived by parents, John and Deborah (Kerr), brothers, Andrew (Alexandra), Peter (Carolina), grandmother, Caroline Ruhl, and nephews, James and Rowan.

Jonathan regularly reminded friends and family that "to live is Christ, and to die is gain." (Philippians 1:21)

Friends may call on Friday, February 6, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Schellhaas Funeral home 1600 Stone Mansion Drive; Sewickley, PA, 15143. The service will be held at Orchard Hill Church in Wexford at 2551 Brandt School Road on Saturday, February 7, at 11:00 AM.
