Connie C. (Grosso) Phoenix, age 62, of Allison Park, passed away suddenly on February 2nd, 2026. Daughter of the late Giuseppe and Giovanna M. (Raffaele) Grosso. Beloved wife of Claude S. Phoenix.
Loving mother of Ashley Ridilla (Bryan) and Lauren Desvignes (Christopher); grandmother of Thea Ridilla, Julian Desvignes, Brix Ridilla, and baby Desvignes on the way; sister of Miguel J. Grosso and Gerardina R. Arasin; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Connie was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. Her parents originated in Italy. Connie, alongside her parents, and siblings, immigrated to America when she was 16 years old. Connie graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School in 1980 and Duquesne University in 1984. During her time at Duquesne, she met Claude in advanced inorganic chemistry class. Their love bloomed and they got married in 1985. Connie worked in the dental and healthcare field throughout the years. She took care of her daughters, Ashley and Lauren, throughout their childhood and was the primary caretaker for her mother, Giovanna. Connie was known for always helping others. She was caring, loving, and supportive to all friends and family over her entire life. Her last way of giving was organ donation to help others survive. Reflection of her good deeds will always be remembered by many.
