Sylvia Dole Armen

ARMEN, Sylvia, age 84, of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, in the compassionate care of hospice at Village on the Isle in Venice, Florida. Born in Butler, PA, in 1941, she was the beloved daughter of the late Robert Boyce Dole and Allene Gertrude (Muzzy) Dole.

A 1959 graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School, Sylvia shared a lifetime of love and partnership with her husband, Alfred Armen. Her early career included a decade of service at Kenny Kardon in South Hills Village, but her true calling was found in her faith community. For 20 years, Sylvia served as the Parish Assistant at Ruthfred Lutheran Church, where she touched countless lives coordinating Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Senior Ministries, and providing compassionate visitation to the homebound and hospitalized.

Upon her retirement from the church, she continued her active lifestyle working alongside Al at Armen's House of Music.

Sylvia's legacy lives on through her devoted husband, Al; her son, The Rev. Dr. Brian Armen, and wife Lori; her cherished grandchildren, Jonathan and Stephen (Tisha); and four great-grandchildren.
