John graduated from Norwich Free Academy, Class of 1969, and received a bachelor's degree in math from Eastern Connecticut State University. Following graduation, John was employed at General Dynamics as a draftsman.
John was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his brother, David Armen and his wife, Rosemary Maiolo Armen, of Niantic, CT; by his sister, Beth Armen Troeger and her husband, Jim Troeger, of Scotland, CT; also by his nieces and nephews: Rebecca Troeger and her husband, Michael Ostrowski, of Niantic, CT; Laura Troeger and her fiancé, Kris Grabarek, of Acton, MA; Julia Armen McDermott and her husband, Michael McDermott, of Old Lyme, CT; and by his great-niece, Stella Ostrowski of East Lyme.
John's family is planning a private graveside memorial service.

I am so sorry to hear about John. I graduated with him in 1969 from NFA and he was a very sweet guy. So sorry to hear this.
