Jonathan David Judice was born on April 9, 1961, at Athens Hospital in Athens, Georgia. He was the third child of Lorraine K. Judice and the second child of Leo NMN Judice. David embraced Christianity at an early age and became a member of St Mary's Catholic Church after his family relocated to Norfolk, Virginia, in 1962. He attended Robert Gatewood Elementary and Lake Taylor High School, graduating in 1979.
Upon graduation, David held various positions, beginning as a Watermelon Salesman. Throughout his career, he worked in several roles, including shipfitter and sandblaster at local shipyards. In 1989, he welcomed a beautiful daughter, Ms. Dasha Jeter.
David had a rare gift-he made everyone feel like family. Whether surrounded by lifelong friends or meeting someone new, he welcomed others with open arms and an easy smile. Time spent with him was never ordinary; it was filled with laughter, good stories, and moments you'd never forget.
He was at his happiest surrounded by the people he loved-sharing a meal, enjoying music, or planning his next adventure. But among all his joys, none compared to the love he had for his daughter. She was his heart, his pride, and the light of his life. Every moment he spent with her was cherished, and his love for her knew no bounds.
A man of impeccable style, David carried himself with grace and flair. He never missed a chance to dress sharp, whether for a special event or a simple day out. His presence was magnetic, his confidence uplifting, and his spirit unforgettable.
His passion for travel took him to many places, each journey another chapter in a life lived with intention and enthusiasm. Whether exploring new cities or visiting family afar, he found joy in the journey and meaning in every destination. But out of all the places he's been, he always had a special place in his heart for Berkley. You could take Lil Dave out of Berkley, but you couldn't take Berkley out of Lil Dave.
Though he has gained his wings and left this earthly life, his legacy lives on in our hearts. We will remember his laughter, his love, and the way he brought people together. He was more than a brother; he was a friend, a father, and a guiding light.
He will be missed by all who knew him. David was preceded by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Leo and Lorraine Judice, and sister, Ella B. Baker. He is survived by his daughter, Dasha Jeter; brothers, Leo M. Judice Jr. and Paul A. Judice; sister, Rossie B. Judice; many nieces and nephews; and numerous relatives and friends.
