Charles A Judice
August 15, 1945 – April 3, 2025
Charles A Judice, born on August 15, 1945, passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 79.
For the past year, Charles has been a loved resident of New Iberia Manor North in New Iberia, forming many friendships with fellow residents, nurses and staff, during his stay there. Though he often preferred solitude, his charm and fun-loving personality drew people to him wherever he went. He was always the life of the party bringing joy and laughter to many. He would often make a quick appearance at Sunday dinners-grabbing a plate and slipping out. His family remembers him as an amazing brother and a true friend.
He loved spending evenings with his close-knit group at his favorite downtown bars in New Iberia. He especially enjoyed a fine glass of scotch
Born Charles Alphonse, one of three children to Rene Pierre Judice Jr. and Oneida Alphonsine Hitter Judice, Charles was the identical twin of Rene Judice and younger brother to Jeanette Judice Breaux. Though born identical, the twins were opposites in many ways-right-handed vs. left-handed, blue eyes vs. brown, blonde vs. brunette-but they shared a mischievous spirit and were often caught pulling pranks on their grandmother.
Life presented its challenges early on. The children lost their father shortly after Charles and Rene were born
In his youth, Charles's home was a regular hangout spot for his friends. They'd play cards, joke around, and conspire playful tricks on his grandmother.
Charles graduated from Saint Peter's College on Main Street, now known as Catholic High School, and went on to pursue college studies. He found success and fulfillment working in bookkeeping for a dental school in New Orleans. Eventually, he returned home to New Iberia,
Although Charles never had children of his own, he was deeply loved and surrounded by family. He is survived by his devoted sister, Jeanette Breaux; his twin brother, Rene Judice, and wife, Margie. Along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was a man of humor, heart, and a quiet confidence. The places he frequented will feel a bit quieter without his vibrant spirit. Though he will be missed, his memory and his spirit will live on in all of us.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at The Magnolia Square Event Venue, located at 111 Iberia St., New Iberia, LA 70560. All who knew and loved Charles are welcome to attend.
Please leave your condolences, kind words, cherished photos, and fond memories in the online guest book below for the family to read and reflect on in the days to come.

I knew and worked beside Charles at the LSU School of Dentistry from 1972-1980. I considered he and his friend Don as my best friends. We attended many dinners and parties together outside of work. I tried contacting him a little while back, but got no response. He is in my prayers and my deepest condolences to his loved ones and friends. God bless.
