Jonathan Stuart Laws

Jonathan Stuart Laws suffered a medical emergency resulting in his death on October 3, 2025. Stuart was born in Charlotte, NC to the late Howard Laws (Becky) and Judith Kirchman (Bill). Stuart graduated from Atlantic Christian College prior to starting his career with LabCorp. In addition to his parents, Stuart is survived by his sister Ashton Megson (John), nieces Emily vom Lehn (David), Olivia Megson (Chris), and a great nephew whom he adored. Additional family include Uncles, John Barbour ( Martha), Rick Barbour (Linda), Joe Scott (Pam), late Aunt Debi Scott and many cousins. Stuart had a special relationship with his Uncle Rick. They enjoyed grilling, watching the Panthers and spending quality time together.

We will miss his easy smile, his stories, and his ability to make everyone laugh. He had a huge heart and was always ready for a family event. Simple things brought Stuart great joy, a beach breeze, boating, flip flops, and sunglasses. He was a movie buff and loved a good book.

Stuart's 30 year career at LabCorp provided an opportunity for mentorships and lifelong friendships.

Celebration of life plans will be announced at a later date.
