Jonathan L. Piela

Jonathan L. Piela, 38, of Voorheesville, NY, entered into eternal peace on May 18th, 2022. Jonathan was born on August 3, 1983, in Albany, NY to Leonard and Judi Piela. He is survived by his brother Justin (Andrea) Piela, sister Lindsay (Jason) Piela-Albert, nieces Alexa and Kacey, nephews Jayden and Colton, Aunts and Uncles Joan (Henry) DiBernardo, Jane Grant, Gloria (Mike) Doherty, Walter Piela,several cousins, and his close childhood friends that stood by his side as brothers.
Jonathan grew up in Delmar, NY, and was a graduate of Bethlehem High School. He obtained his degree in Civil Engineering, had a career in roofing, and was a long-time member of the Roofer's Local 241 Union. Jonathan enjoyed reading, fishing, cooking, playing the guitar, nature, animals (he loved his dog Duke and his cat Bella), riding his motorcycle, going to concerts, the NY Jets, the Fighting Irish, and taking photos of nature while hiking. He also participated in MS Walks in memory of his mother. Jonathan was a kind and good-hearted man and will be remembered as such.
Friends and family are invited to share memories of Jonathan on Friday, May 27th, 2022 from 3-6 pm at Meyers Funeral home located at 741 Delaware Ave, Delmar, NY 12054.
He will be forever missed.
