Jon, I still can´t believe you´re gone. I listen to the song Lighthouse on YouTube and cry. One: that I´m proud of you and your musical ability and the strength and determination you had in carrying out your dreams in music. And two: I cry because I miss you. You never know how much you miss someone until they aren´t there to call or text or visit. If you get to jam with George Harrison, Tom Petty, and Prince play my favorite song, "While my guitar gently weeps". Love you. Until we meet again as always keep rocking.

Holidays aren´t quite the same without your smile and sense of humor which matched mine! The last Christmas you were with us I had given you a comfy cardigan and we laughed because we both thought of Mr Rogers (respectfully of course). So the next year I had ordered an actual Mr Rogers sweater but sadly had to cancel. We had our struggles growing up but grew to love each other very much. You took our shared love of music and created some special songs. Your talent was remarkable. Until we meet again Jeep rockin´. Love you

Very sorry for your loss Tana, Dave and Pat. Jon will be greatly missed by us all but not forgotten. I uploaded two videos to my youtube. The first is the song Fallen Soldier, performed by Jon and us. The second is the Slater Song. That song was written mostly by Jon, and is a recording of us playing it together.

Jon, you will be missed sweetie. I´ll never understand why our loved ones are taken too soon. You had so much to give and so much more to experience in life. It was a pleasure to see what a nice, polite and caring young man you turned out to be. I will miss you. Keep rock in´. Love you, (Aunt) April
Sending love and strength to your mother and brother especially.

David, I love you and my thoughts and hugs go out to you. You will always be very special. David, Tana and family be kind and loving to each other. This is a horrible road to travel. I can't say I know exactly what you are going through, but I have been there. I am still going down that road after thirteen years. The road gets narrower but there is no end. I love you. My arms are holding you all. Shirley Everhardt Flumerfelt
