Jonathan David Xavier Smith, age 24 of San Francisco, California departed this life on Saturday, September 24, 2022. Jonathan was born October 31,1997, his loving parents John Smith and Sheron Smith. Jonathan joined San Francisco Hosanna Ministries, baptized and confessed Christ. He was a church boy, a PK (preacher kid) son.
Jonathan attended St. Elizabeth Catholic School, San Francisco Christian School, Matin Luther King School, Balboa High School and Vocational Schools.
Jonathan worked in the Restaurant Service Industry, occasionally helped his dad bag and deliver food to the Senior Citizens, Handicap and Shut-Ins.
Jonathan's greatest passion was playing with his daughter, dancing and singing with her. She would dance for him and he would show her new dance steps. She would always say, no, no Daddy, this is how you do it. They would play for hours and talk about everything. What a joy and opportunity to see and hear a great relationship of a father and daughter.
Jonathan enjoyed writing rap songs, singing and dancing, riding his skateboard and working out. He played baseball, basketball and football and was very good in all sports. He had a great fan club (cheering section) his mother, father, godmother, aunt, uncle, family and friends. He would say we were a little embarrassing because we were soooo loud, but he loved it.
Jonathan was an early traveler, he started before he was one year old. He loved traveling to different places and eating all kinds of food. He wasn't afraid of things, he told us the truth. Always curious about experiencing new places and meeting people. Very much like his father, what a personality. People liked Jonathan and he was greatly loved.
He was preceded in death by his sister Tamar Smith and his dog Spike, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles.
Jonathan leaves to cherish his memory, Father and Mother, John and Sheron Smith of San Francisco, CA; GodFather and GodMother, Larry and Pamela Scurry of San Francisco, CA; one beautiful daughter whom he loved passionately, Jo'Nae Smith of San Francisco, CA; Siblings Maurice Smith of San Francisco, CA; Nikkisha Haynes of Elk Grove, CA; a host of aunts, great aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, godsister and loving friends.
