Jonathan Shade Stacy, age 51, of Glade Spring, Va., passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, August 30, 2025.
Jonathan was a gifted artist, having studied art at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College, where he specialized in acrylic painting. His passion for abstract painting emerged at an early age; notably, he earned 37 college credit hours while still in middle school, highlighting his exceptional talent and dedication.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Perry and June Stacy, as well as several aunts and uncles.
Jonathan is survived by his mother, Pam Stacy Runyon of Lebanon., Va.; brother, Matt Fields, and his wife, Kristie, of Abingdon, Va.; four aunts: Sandy Hagy and husband, John, of South Carolina; Iris Pavao of Bristol, Tenn.; Kathy McCann of Pounding Mill, Va.; and Ginger Harrison of Pounding Mill, Va. He also leaves behind a niece, Anna; two nephews, Ethan and Adam; several cousins; and his cherished feline companion, Jazzi.
A celebration of Jonathan's life will be organized at a future date.
