SWANTON- Jonathon T. Geraw, age 33, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
He was born on September 15, 1990 to Donna Seger and the late Danny D. Geraw. Jonathon was the youngest of three boys and cherished by his mother. Growing up in Sheldon, Jonathon attended Sheldon Elementary School and later graduated from Missisquoi Valley Union in 2009. Following his education, Jonathon further honed his skills and completed a welding course at BFA in St. Albans.
Jonathon was employed by Peerless clothing in St. Albans. His supervisor and friend Shawn St. Francis describes him as a hard worker, loyal, and a guy who always had your back.
He had a special place in his heart for cats, especially Luna. Jon's bond with his mother was undeniably special and unique. The highlight of his week was spending time with her on Sundays and enjoying her homemade mac n cheese.
Jonathon proposed to the love of his life Barbara Morse on Christmas 2022. He was excited about spending their lives together.
He leaves behind his mother, Donna Seger of Sheldon; fiancé, Barbara Jean Morse and her son Jacob Carpenter of Swanton; brothers, Joshua Seger of Highgate, and Justin Geraw and his significant other Taylor Austin of St. Albans; grandmother, Rose Seger of Sheldon; nieces and nephews, Oliver Seger, Dawson Geraw, and Kensi Geraw; special aunt, Debra Geraw of Burlington; special cousin, Alex Tracy of NC; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to his father, Danny Geraw, Jonathon was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Bruce and Celia (Martel) Geraw; and maternal grandfather, Dennis Seger.
A memorial service to honor Jonathon's life and celebrate his memory will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 4:00PM at The Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, located at 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls, Vermont, 05450.
