Jone Austerberry Daubs, age 71, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Mission Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on July 24, 1953, in Chestnut Hill, PA, Jone grew up on a beautiful farm in Barto, PA, alongside her two brothers and sister. She carried the warmth and strength of her upbringing into every chapter of her life. After marrying the love of her life, James Franklin Daubs, Jr., created a home in LaGrange, GA, where they raised their three cherished children.
A devoted mother, Jone’s heart was always with her family. She poured her passion into her beloved restaurant, The Spring House Inn, which she owned and operated from 1991 to 2007, creating a welcoming space that became a staple in her community. Beyond her career, Jone found her greatest joy outdoors, basking in the sun, relaxing by the pool, and spending time along the Gulf Coast of Florida, a place that always felt like home.
Jone had a matter-of-fact wit and a deep, unwavering love for those closest to her, including her golden retriever and black lab, who were constant companions. Her kindness, resilience, and steadfast love will be dearly missed but forever remembered by those who knew her.
She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Joseph and Joan Austerberry; her beloved husband, James Franklin Jr; and her sister, Lori Hibbs.
She leaves behind a family who adored her: her children, J.D. Daubs and his wife Carlyn, Ashley Daubs, and Sarah Daubs; her brothers, Chris Austerberry and his wife Joan, and Mark Austerberry and his wife Linda; and her treasured grandchildren, Turner Daubs, Lawson Daubs, and Jackson Daubs. She also leaves behind beloved nieces, nephews, and friends whose lives were touched by her warmth and generosity.
