JONES EARL "JODY" KIGHT JR.

Jones Earl Kight Jr. known as "Jody" of Micco, FL passed away peacefully August 21, 2025 with family by his side.

Born February 10, 1962 in Melbourne, FL to the proud parents, Jones "Earl" Kight Sr. and Caroline Cain Kight of Micco, FL.

Jody was a commercial fisherman, repairman and handyman. He worked for "Cash in Recycling Center" in Roseland. He loved being on the river, the ocean and being outdoors. He had a passion for taking photos of the sun coming up over the river at the Sebastian bridge and he would share them with us. He enjoyed cooking and grilling. His favorite was his fried mullet and grilled chicken wings. Holidays you knew he had the smoker going.

He never met a stranger and was always there to lend a helping hand. Everyone knew him for his big heart, honesty and humor, which he kept till the end. He was loved and will be missed by family and many friends.

He is predeceased by his beloved father Jones "Earl" Kight, Sr.

Jody is survived by his life partner Julie Pelletier of Micco, loving mother Caroline Kight of Micco, sister "Sis" Joy Crisp (John) of Micco, treasured niece Renee Martin (Mike) of St. Cloud, FL, loved nephew John Crisp Jr. of Micco, adored 2 great nieces Penelope and Caroline, and great nephew Michael, 1 aunt and many cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 12:00 -1:00 pm with a Memorial Service following at 1:00 pm. No graveside service.
