Joni Stevens Phillips, 64, a life long resident of Vermont, passed away unexpectedly September 24, 2023. Joni was born in St. Johnsbury, VT on August 20, 1959 the daughter of the late Wallace S. and Norma A. (Gray) Stevens. She attended Sutton, Lyndonville and Bennington schools, graduating from Mt. Antony Union High School. She also attended Northeastern Christian University and Harding University. Joni worked as a care giver to Alzheimer's patients, Pharmacy Tech at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center and then as a school bus monitor. Joni was very active in her church, the Jacob's Well Family Worship Center in Cambridge, NY, loved reading her bible, hiking, building the Long Trail with the YCC, loved nature and listening to Christian music. Joni is survived by her siblings Paul Stevens (Dottie) of Schuylerville, NY, Joy Haddix (Brad) of Searcy, Arkansas, Jeanie Partlow (David) of Oregon City, OR and Brenda Stanford (Kevin) of Jasper AL and beloved Aunt Joni to many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. A celebration of life for Joni will be held Saturday September 30, 2023 at 11am at Jacob's Well Family Worship Center in Cambridge, NY. Interment will be private. There are no visiting hours. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Joni's memory may be made to the Jacob's Well Family Worship Center, Alzheimer's Foundation of America, c/o Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home, P.O.
