Joni Mary Yatsonsky

Joni M. Yatsonsky, 72, of Honesdale, passed away on Wednesday morning, November 5, 2025. Her beloved husband, Eugene W. Yatsonsky survives her. They were married for more than 50 years.

Born September 20, 1953 in Honesdale, Joni was the daughter of the late Jesse L. and Gertrude M. (Kerber) Johnson.

Joni will be remembered for her kind, gentle, and loving personality. She always put others first, and cared for those in need. Joni enjoyed walking, going fishing, and the company of her pets. She adored animals and cared for them lovingly. More than anything else, Joni was a devoted wife and mother.

She is also survived by a son, Jesse Yatsonsky and his wife Elly, of Prompton; a daughter, Samantha Yatsonsky, of Baltimore, Maryland; brothers and sisters: Jesse H. Johnson, John C. Johnson, Joel R. Johnson, Judy A. Blackburn, Jeanne J. Rutledge, Jill L. Flynn, and Janie C. Clemo.

She was preceded in death by a brother, James W. Johnson.

Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at 11:30 AM in The Waymart Cemetery at Canaan Corners, Near 282 Owego Turnpike, Waymart, PA 18472. Everyone attending is asked to go directly to the cemetery on Sunday.
