Jordan Daniel Bennett of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on September 27, 2024, at the age of 34. Jordan was born on May 10, 1990, to Rance and Jeannine Bennett in Oklahoma City.
From a young age, he enjoyed participating in Boy Scouts, basketball, baseball, and tennis. Jordan was very active in the Quail Springs Church of Christ youth group. He enjoyed climbing several mountains in the U.S. and exploring Europe with this tight-knit group. Jordan graduated from Putnam City North High School in 2009 and was a member of the 2009 Boys Tennis State Championship team. Jordan attended Oklahoma State University and Oklahoma Christian University, where he was involved in many campus activities. He spent more than a decade working for Chick-fil-A, where he thrived and quickly moved up the ladder. During that time, he met his future wife, Morgan. After dating for a couple of years, Jordan and Morgan were married on July 18, 2015. Shortly after getting married, Jordan started his 9-year career with FedEx and was very proud of his work and ability to provide for his family. Jordan was an active and devoted father to their four beautiful children. Jordan was also a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, colleague, and a great friend to many. He will always be remembered as the guy who lit up the room with his infectious smile and laugh. He touched so many lives.
Jordan is preceded in death by his father, Robert Rance Bennett. He is survived by his loving wife Morgan, daughters Mavis and Opal, sons Edison and Lawrence, his mother Jeannine, sister Laura and brother-in-law Brad Buxton, brother Robert, nephews Tristan and Kayin Williamson, and niece Katy Buxton.
The family invites you to celebrate Jordan’s life on Thursday, October 24th at 11:00 am at Quail Springs Baptist Church, 14613 North May Avenue, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73134. A livestream of the service will also be available at https://qsbc.org/watch. Jordan was a casual guy and felt most comfortable in t-shirts and basketball shorts. We invite you to dress casually and help us honor his love for Oklahoma State University by wearing America’s Brightest Orange! In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to help Morgan provide for the family’s current and future needs.
