Jordan Q. Bray

Jordan Q. Bray, 31, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 31, 2023 in Rockford, Illinois. He was born on September 10, 1991, the youngest son to Mark and Deborah (Iverson) Bray, growing up in Machesney Park. He attended the Parker Early Education Center the first year that it opened, and continued through the Harlem School district going on to graduate. More recently he was working at Rockford Spring where he was a forklift driver. Jordan was a wonderful son, tender hearted, quiet, and a very respectful young man. He had a great love for children, some of the fond memories his mother has include them walking through public places and them sharing glances when they saw any children playing, it brought a great joy out in both of them. His father has fond memories of them spending time fishing on the lake. Jordan was very close to his brothers Luke and Josh, and he loved them dearly. He enjoyed spending countless hours playing video games with his daughter, brothers, and nephew. Most of all, he looked forward to the time that he would spend with his beloved daughter, Destinee.
He will be missed by his daughters Destinee Bray and Jocilyn Puskas; his parents Mark and Deborah; his brothers Luke and Josh Bray; his nephew Isaiah Bray; nieces Lilliana Bray and Dakota Woods; his grandparents Kay (Richard) Hackett and Leonard Bray; his aunts and uncles Tamra, Alan, Anna Iverson, Bruce (Laurel), David, Leonard (Elaine), John (Lalani) Slocum, Maria (Brent Davis) Slocum, Peter (Melissa) Iverslie
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 17th, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, IL.
