Jordan Marie Leverett, a dedicated preschool teacher at Calvary Baptist Church Academy, has left this world on April 22, 2024. She was born on December 1, 1998, in Baltimore, Maryland, and her untimely passing occurred in Glen Burnie, Maryland.
Jordan's passion for nurturing young minds was evident in her career, as she touched the lives of many children with care and kindness. She graduated from Calvary Baptist Church Academy in 2017, marking the beginning of her journey into the field of education, where she made a lasting impact.
Apart from her professional endeavors, Jordan found joy and solace in various hobbies and interests including playing softball, babysitting, planning parties, and immersing herself in music. Her vibrant spirit and creativity shone through in everything she did. Jordan was involved with the Brooklyn Park Youth Athletic Association and was a valued member of Bay Area Community Church. These experiences enriched her life and allowed her to give back to her community in meaningful ways.
In this time of sorrow, Jordan leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her. She is survived by her devoted parents, Sherry and Marcus Leverett; loving brother, Michael William Leverett and his wife Bianca; cherished niece, Kara Nicole Leverett; beloved grandmother, Sheila J. Goodman; adored cousins, Stephanie Lynn, Danielle, Grace, and Alex Goodman, as well as Dakota and Chris (Allysa) Wanke; dear aunts and uncles, Steve (Jen) Goodman, Guy Leverett, Lloyd (Kathryn) Leverett, Kay (Byron) Floyd , Richard Goodman, and Carl Goodman; great aunt, Deanna (Bill) Miller, and a host of other great aunts and uncles. Jordan was predeceased by her grandmother, Clarice Leverett and grandfather, Carl Goodman, Jr.
In memory of Jordan Marie Leverett's beautiful soul, a visitation will be held on Friday, May 3rd, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by another visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services P.A. in Glen Burnie. A Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, May 4th, at Calvary Baptist Church starting at 11:00 AM to honor and remember the remarkable life lived by Jordan. Interment to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park with only immediate family.
As we mourn the loss of Jordan Marie Leverett, let us also celebrate the light she brought into our lives and the hearts she touched along the way.
