Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A.Beatrice “Ann” Robey, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, in Crofton, Maryland, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 1, 1927, in Neavitt, Maryland, Ann lived a life devoted to her family, who were her greatest joy and cherished priority.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents Charles Dawson Cooper Sr. and Amelia Florence Haddaway, and siblings John William "Buddy" Cooper and Charles Dawson Cooper, Jr., Freda A. Dowdy, Catherine C. Lednum, and Mary E. Lednum. Throughout her life, the bonds of family remained strong, a testament to the love and values instilled in her from a young age.
Ann was united in marriage to her beloved husband, William Walter Robey, Sr., with whom she shared many happy years until his passing. She was not only a dedicated wife but also an anchor for her family, providing unconditional love and support.
Her legacy continues through her children: daughter Lorraine Harrison, son William W. Robey, Jr., daughter Carolyn A. Shields (Gary), daughter Sharon L. Rauser (Bob), son Charles W. Robey (Kim), and son Gregory B. Robey (Dawn). Beatrice reveled in her role as a grandmother to 11 grandchildren, each of whom was a twinkle in her eye. Her 18 great-grandchildren brought her unparalleled joy, and with the arrival of her 4 great-great-grandchildren, she felt a deep sense of gratitude for the beautiful lineage that she fostered.
Ann found happiness in simple pleasures. Whether it was the thrill of a bingo game, the satisfaction of crocheting or the joy of immersing herself in captivating game shows on television, she embraced life with enthusiasm and delight.
Her absence leaves an indelible void in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing her. Ann's radiant spirit, unwavering love for her family, and remarkable strength will be remembered and cherished forever. As we reflect on her extraordinary life, we find solace in the beautiful memories she created.
