Jordan Anthony Olson, 26, of Humboldt, found peace in his heavenly home on Sunday, November 19, 2023. Jordan passed away unexpectedly at his home in Humboldt.
Jordan was lovingly welcomed into this world on March 18, 1997 by his parents, Jeffery and Mary Beth (Waechter) Olson and an older brother, Justin. A few years later, his sister, Morgan followed. Jordan attended elementary school at St. Mary’s Catholic School and was active in football, track and cross country at Humboldt High School where he graduated in 2015. As a child, Jordan was inquisitive and extremely bright. He showed an amazing aptitude for art and drawing at a very early age which he continued to nurture and share with others. Jordan had a creative spirit which was not only expressed through sketching and painting but also through music where he was known to play guitar, piano, sing and write songs. Jordan’s intellect and philosophical thinking were way beyond his years. He had a snappy sense of humor and will always be remembered for his polite, kind and thoughtful spirit. He adored his pet cats and spent many hours enjoying his family and friends at weekly game nights. He also enjoyed playing video games and was known to throw a wicked game of bags. Jordan was employed at Hy-Vee in Humboldt where he will be remembered for his authenticity, kindness and helpfulness by both customers and co-workers.
Jordan’s short life of 26 years left an indelible mark on those remaining here who loved him unconditionally including his parents, Jeffery and Mary Beth Olson, brother Justin (Jamie) and sister Morgan all of Humboldt, grandparents Kenny & Sharon Olson of Bode and Donna Waechter, formerly of Ottosen. His presence will also be greatly missed by his many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. Loved ones who predeceased him include his grandfather, Verne Waechter and uncle, Jon Osborn and great grandparents, Leo & Bernita Holthaus.
