I had the privilege of being one of Jori's preschool teachers. I remember her running on the playground, a huge smile on her face and blonde hair streaming out behind her. She was so filled with love and joy! Thank you for sharing her with us.
About fifteen years ago, Jori gave me some wind chimes, which still hang in my window. Whenever I see them or hear them jingle, I think of Jori and smile.

I do not know the family and my heart breaks for the loss of your beautiful Jori. She looks like she was the life of the party with such a beautiful smile. God needed an angel and he hand picked Jori. May family and friends help keep her memories alive with wonderful stories. With deepest sympathy on your loss. Your have a beautiful angel watching over you and may you always have a bright shiny star light your world with brightness.

Your daughter sounds like a wonderful person and one that we can all learn from by being kind to others. My husband was a GAC grad as was our oldest daughter. It's a wonderful tight knit community and they will support you for a lifetime. Blessings to your family and may God grant you peace and comfort as you move forward.

I never met Jori, but a hockey mom friend from MN shared her story on fb which included a photo of her laughing while wearing her Gustie helmet. I graduated from Gustavus before there was a women's hockey team. My son plays hockey, also a goalie wearing #33- that picture of her is just pure joy; it says so much about her love for the sport and simply for life. #33 has always been special for us, but now in more ways than one. We have never met but you are all in our hearts.

I live in Upstate New York and for some reason the story of Jori"s accident showed up on my Facebook. I so related to your family. Not that I´ve experienced your loss but I put myself in your shoes. I have four children and three of my daughters are New York State Basketball Champions. We have lived and breathed their athletics and been with them every step of the way. Losing my child would be my worst nightmare. When I see Jori, I see my girls. I feel like I´m in your moment. Everything you put into your child reflects back on you and you must of been wonderful parents because it radiated in Jori´s smile. I just hope that you find peace in knowing that your daughter had and still has an impact on this world.

I met Jori in preschool. She was the sweetest, most bubbly girl who became my first friend. We were inseparable, and although we were so young, I knew that she would always be there for me. As life went on our paths were different, but I have always had love for Jori in my heart. She has helped me become the woman I am today, and I will never forget that bright, smiling face.
