Jose Alvarado, 64, of Clifton, passed away on November 7, 2025. Mass will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, November 14, 2025 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Clifton. Visitation will be held after the Mass at Clifton Funeral Home from 3:30-5:30. A second visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Clifton Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Clifton Memorial Park following the visitation on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
Jose Alvarado, loving husband, father, abuelo, brother and friend, passed away on November 7th of 2025 at the age of 64. Born in Guillermo Prieto, Durango, Mexico, was the cherished son of Sofia Ponce and Erasmo Alvarado. Jose lived his life with a spirit full of love, laughter, and adventure. He was a steady source of strength and joy to everyone who knew him. A devoted father, he cared deeply for his two children: Margarita (Gonzalo) and Pedro (Alexandra), who will forever carry his lessons, humor, and kindness in their hearts. As an abuelo, Jose treasured his 7 grandchildren, Batista, Mercedes, Nathan, Kadyn, Parker, Matthew and Aria. Nothing brought him more happiness than watching them grow, celebrating their milestones, and showering them with endless love.
Jose is also survived by his siblings Erasmo, Jesus, Rosario, Clemencia, Lorena, Jose Guadalupe, and Beatriz, each whom held a special place in his life and memories. He now reunited in eternal rest with his loving wife of 42 years, Maria Alvarado, as well as his parents and eight siblings who passed before him. Jose will be remembered for his warm heart, his generous spirit, and the way he made every person feel valued. His legacy lives through the family he loved so deeply and the countless moments he filled with joy.
He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
José Alvarado, querido esposo, padre, abuelo, hermano y amigo, falleció el 7 de noviembre del 2025, a la edad de 64 años. Nacido en Durango, México, fue el amado hijo de Sofía Ponce y Erasmo Alvarado. José vivió su vida con un espíritu lleno de amor, alegría y aventura. Fue una fuente constante de fortaleza y felicidad para todos los que lo conocieron. Como padre dedicado, siempre cuidó con amor a sus dos hijos, Margarita (Gonzalo) y Pedro (Alexandra), quienes llevarán por siempre sus enseñanzas, su sentido del humor y su bondad. Como abuelo, José adoraba a sus siete nietos- Batista, Mercedes, Nathan, Kadyn, Parker, Matthew y Aria.
No había mayor dicha para él que verlos crecer, celebrar sus logros y llenarlos de cariño. También le sobreviven sus hermanos Erasmo, Jesús, Rosario, Clemencia, Lorena, José Guadalupe y Beatriz, cada uno ocupando un lugar especial en su corazón. Ahora descansa en paz junto a su amada esposa de 42 años, María Alvarado, así como sus padres y sus ocho hermanos que lo precedieron en muerte.
José será recordado por su corazón noble, su espíritu generoso y la manera en que hacía sentir especial a cada persona. Su legado vive en la familia que tanto amó y en los innumerables momentos llenos de alegría que compartió.
Siempre será profundamente extrañado y eternamente recordado.
