Jose Del Carmen Lopez

Our father came from Colombia to the United States 50 years ago in search of new opportunities. He lived a good life, and was a successful and intelligent man. He stood out in all of his works due to his sense of responsibility and innovation. My father taught us to be positive and never back down when faced with adversity, but rather get up and face it with more strength. He always carried a smile and had a poem to recite to everyone he would meet. Despite having lived many years, he remembered many things about his life that he would tell us about, with every visit; time spent with him was made pleasurable as we would hear his memories and laugh with him at all his jokes. He will forever be in our spirits. His children, Irma, Clara, Amanda, Margarita, José, his grandchildren, and great grandchildren will always remember him with love.
