Jose Luis Carrillo

Jose Luis Carrillo, 21, of Grand Prairie, Texas, passed away on February 25, 2026. He was born on November 14, 2004, in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Jose Luis was a young man full of life who enjoyed spending his time doing the things he loved most. He had a passion for playing football and basketball and was an avid video game player. He also loved watching superhero movies and could often be found enjoying them with family and friends. Jose Luis had a special love for cats and always enjoyed being around them.

Family meant everything to Jose Luis. He especially cherished the time he spent with his cousins and loved being surrounded by his family. His kind heart, laughter, and presence will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

Jose Luis attended Travis Elementary School, Uplift, and Dubiski Career High School in Grand Prairie, Texas.

He is survived by his loving mother, Rosa Ma. Alvarado; his father, Jose Luis Carrillo Gurrola; his sister, Carolina Carrillo; and his grandparents, Rosa Castillo, Jose Luis Carrillo, and Celia Gurrola. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 E. Main Street, Grand Prairie, Texas 75050

Jose Luis will be remembered for his love of family, his joyful spirit, and the happiness he brought to those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
