Jose Luis DeArmas

Jose Luis DeArmas, 74, of Simpsonville, SC, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Born on September 7, 1951, in Havana, Cuba, he was the beloved son of the late Jose and Regla DeArmas, and immigrated to the United States at the tender age of 16, pursuing a new life filled with hope and opportunity.
Jose embraced his life with a vibrant spirit, known for his remarkable dancing abilities and infectious sense of humor. A natural jokester, he could lift anyone's mood with a well-timed quip or a heartfelt laugh. His devotion to family knew no bounds; he was fiercely protective of his loved ones and cherished every moment spent with them.
He dedicated his career to the culinary arts, working as a cook in the grocery industry, most notably with Whole Foods. His passion for food and hospitality reflected his eagerness to share joy with others.
In addition to his parents, Jose was preceded in death by his beloved son, Juan Jose DeArmas. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Karina DeArmas; daughter, Rosemarie Bolding (Andrew); brother, Willy DeArmas; sister, Caridad Gil; and two cherished grandchildren, Devin Michael Birch and David Colin Birch.
Jose's warmth, compassion, and laughter will be deeply missed, yet his memory will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
