It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Jose M. Escalante Jr. on December 31, 2023, at the age of forty-two. Born on September 29, 1981, in H. Matamoros, Tamps, Mexico, Jose touched the lives of many with his warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Manuel Escalante, and leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Jose is survived by his loving mother Ernestina Escalante, devoted son Jose Manuel Escalante Jr., and siblings Ivonne (Alonso)Mejia, Laura Escalante, Jesús Ramon Escalante, and Manoella (Charlie) Pizaña. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his extended family and friends.

Public visitation will be on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Treviño Funeral Home-Old Port Isabel Rd., 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, Texas, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the Holy Rosary in the chapel at 7:00 p.m.
Visitation will resume on Wednesday, January17, 8:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with a funeral Mass in the chapel at 12:00 p.m.
The burial will take place at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Blvd, at 1:00 p.m.
Family and friends are invited to view the obituary, sign the guestbook, and leave a condolence message for the family of Jose M. Escalante, Jr. at www.trevinofuneral.com.
