Jose Eugenio Espinal

Jose E. Espinal, 96, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Marcelina D. Espinal for 67 years. Born in Janico, Dominican Republic, he was a son of the late Bertilio Espinal and Lucia Fernandez Espinal. Jose was the loving father of Roberto Espinal, Farila Firpo, Antolin Espinal, Angela Dennett, Alejundro Espinal, Gabriel Espinal, Magdalena Estevez, Teresa Espinal, Berardo Espinal, and Maria Espinal. He was Abuelo to 33 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; brother to 14 brothers and sisters, and is survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Jose worked in agriculture in the Dominican Republic for many years, before coming to the United States.
His visitation will be held Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 3-6pm in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. His funeral service will be held Monday, January 12 at 11am in the Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
