Jose Andrew Luis Lucero "Louie" was born on November 3rd 1953 in Durango, Colorado and died peacefully on September 2nd 2025 in his home town. He graduated from Pagosa High School in 1971 and after that went to a Community College where he learned to be a Welder. After sometime, he worked as a Welder in different parts of Colorado for a number of years and then became a Coal Miner. He worked for King Coal Mine in Hesperus, Colorado for 10+ years and then in Silverton, Colorado in the Gold Mines for a couple more years. Jose loved to be around Family and Friends and loved to entertain everyone with his Guitar. He had a voice of an Angel and passed on his talents to his kids and made them Musicians. He always looked forward to Hunting Season and always came home with some "Carne Seca"! He also loved working on his cars and spending time outdoors camping and fishing. He cared for everyone and would give the shirt off his back for you.
He is survived by his Spouse Rosemarie Valdez and Children: Alberto, Augustine, Sophia, James, Tracy, Antoinette, Gidgett, and David. He is also survived by his Siblings: Joseph Lucero, Mae Jaramillo, Jose Gallegos, and Baltazar Gallegos. He had many Uncles that were Brothers of his Mother. He had many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren along with many Nieces and Newphews and Great Nieces and Nephews. He is preceded in death by his Parents Jane Martinez and Manuel Lucero, Brother Albert Lucero, Sister Sophia Ocana and Grandma Sophia Martinez.
May he Rest in Peace with God and the Angels and most important...ABC (ALWAYS BE COOL).
