Jose Luis, 79 of Perth Amboy, NJ, died Saturday, November 19, 2022 at home with his loving family by his side.
Born in Caldas Da Rainha, Portugal, he lived in Perth Amboy for 40 years. Before retirement he worked in the Parking Authority, Sanitation Department and Parks Department for the City of Perth Amboy. He used to love to cook in alot of restaurants in Perth Amboy and Linden. He served in the Portuguese Armed Forces in Portugal. Jose was an avid Hunter.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Maria (Virginia) and Joao Luis Felix, 2 sisters and 1 brother.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Margarita (Irizarry) Arlequin, his daughters, Betsy Zayas, Margarita Arlequin, Rachel Arlequin, grandchildren, Amanda Ortiz, Manuel Zayas, Justin Zayas, Brianna Zayas, 2 sisters and 1 brother.
Visiting is on Friday, November 25, 2022, from 4-8 pm at the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy. Burial will be Private.
