Ms. Lan Liu was my work-study supervisor at MXCC. She was a mentor and an inspiration for me in so many ways. She always had words of wisdom that she shared with me that I cherish to this day. I send my deepest condolences to her family and loved ones.

Lan Liu, she called my mom, her mom and so, my sister-friend forever. I will miss you always. Our work together at Middlesex, merging the Library and IT needs was magic. Our life together outside of the Middlesex Community College realm was magical! Take your rest. Rest In Peace. We will see each other again.

It was deeply shocking to hear of Lan´s passing. She was warm, caring, and dependable - someone who approached both work and life with thoughtfulness and precision.
During a time of change in my own life, Lan offered generous support, both professionally and personally. I will always be grateful for her steady presence.
Elegant in appearance, she also had the heart of a Xia Nu (woman of heroic spirit) - strong, loyal, and always ready to stand up for her friends.
She will be dearly missed.

Lan was the best boss and mentor I´ve ever had as a librarian. Her wisdom, strength, and gentleness inspired many around her. She will be greatly missed.

I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear of Lan´s passing. It feels as if she had just retired yesterday.
Lan and I were both system librarians in the Connecticut Community College system. We once learned a new system together and worked side by side to troubleshoot complex issues.
She was a quiet and thoughtful person-always meticulous and thorough in everything she did. Her dedication to doing things with precision and excellence often inspired me to set aside my own "close enough is good enough" attitude and aim higher.
After her retirement, I reached out and received a message from her in return. I thought she had simply chosen to step away from the busyness of work and enjoy peace. I had no idea she was battling illness.
Lan, may you rest in peace, carrying with you all our love and remembrance.

Lan was my boss at the Middlesex Library. There aren´t enough words to say how much I respected, admired and appreciated her. I will always remember her strong quiet leadership and the grace she afforded me when I needed to help care for first my mother and then my father. She was a very special person. My condolences to her family. Anne Paluck
