Jose Manuel Mendoza-Diaz, querido padre, hermano, tio y amigo, fallecio el 29 de Agosto de 2025, en Morris, a la edad de 50 años. Nacido el 31 de Octubre de 1974, en la ciudad de Mexico, Jose era una persona especial y fue estimado por todos los que tuvieron la oportunidad de conocerlo.

El amado hijo de el señor Andres Mendoza y la señora Maria Marta Diaz Leon (Que En Paz Descanse); hermano de Irene, Rosario, Silvia, Andres y Iscla.

En el año 2006, Jose empezo un nuevo capitulo en Morris con su hermana Irene. Aqui fue donde mostro su talento colinario como cocinero en el negocio de su tio, Toby's Restaurant.

La vida de José fue un testimonio del poder del trabajo duro y la alegría de los placeres simples. Era conocido por su sonrisa contagiosa, su risa alegre y su capacidad para hacer sentir a cualquier persona como en casa. Su presencia en la cocina era reconfortante, y sus platos no eran solo comidas, sino expresiones de su generosidad.

Jose será extranado por sus hijos, Alejandro y Nicole Mendoza. Los hermanos de José lo recordarán como el mejor hermano que se podría pedir y un gran amigo.

Jose Manuel Mendoza-Diaz, a cherished father, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, in Morris, at the age of 50. Born on October 31, 1974, in Mexico City, Mexico, Jose's vibrant spirit and warm heart touched the lives of all who knew him.

The beloved son of Andres Mendoza and the late Maria Marta Diaz-Leon, Jose grew up in a lively household alongside his siblings Irene, Rosario, Silvia, Andres, and Iscla.

In 2006, Jose embarked on a new chapter when he moved to Morris with his sister Irene. It was there that he joined his uncle at Toby's Mexican Restaurant, where he showcased his culinary talents as the cook for the family business.

Jose's life was a testament to the power of hard work, commitment, and the joy of simple pleasures. He was known for his infectious smile, his hearty laugh, and his ability to make anyone feel at home. His presence in the kitchen was a comforting constant, and his dishes were not just meals but expressions of his generous spirit.

Jose leaves behind his children, Alejandro and Nicole Mendoza. Jose's siblings will remember him as the best brother one could ask for and a great friend.

A visitation for Jose will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 4:00pm to 8:00 pm at the UC Davis-Callahan Funeral Home in Morris. A Mass of Christian of Burial will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church in Morris.
