Jose Maria Rodriguez, known as "Chema", of Richmond, Texas passed away on July 3, 2025 at the age of 81. He was born on April 25, 1944 in Foster, Fort Bend County, Texas to Juan Pedro and Maria Alta-Gracia (Mendoza) Rodriguez. He grew up with his 5 siblings on the family ranch. Jose enjoyed being outdoors – especially fishing or sitting on his swing watching the squirrels run around. This loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend will be missed.
In addition to his parents, Jose is preceded in death by his wife, Angelita C. Rodriguez; brothers, Daniel Celso Rodriguez and Luis Victor Rodriguez; sisters, Juanita Rodriguez and Mary Nieto; grandson, Gabriel Anthony Villegas and granddaughter, Ashley Ann Rodriguez.
Jose is survived by his son, Jose Martin Rodriguez; daughter, Adriana Villegas and her husband Joe; granddaughter, Isabella Villegas; grandson, Martin Anthony Rodriguez, granddaughter, Marie E. Vargas and husband, Felix and great granddaughter, Elliana Francisca Vargas; twin brother, Juan Pedro Rodriguez II, brother, Vincent Rodriguez and wife, Silvia M. Gamez; along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors he called family.
Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. followed by services as 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 14, 2025 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Pastor Francisco Castillo to officiate the services.
The Pallbearers will include Michael Castillo, Matthew Castillo, Rick Sifuentes, Michael Rodriguez, Juan Rodriguez and Felix Vargas.
Expressions of remembrance and condolences are welcome and may be left for the family at www.davisgreenlawnfh.com.
