Jose G "Lupe" Sanchez

Jose "Lupe" Sanchez, age 75, of Wapato, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on November 27, 2023. Lupe was born on March 4, 1948, to Petra Garcia and Trinidad Sanchez, in Raymondville, Texas and grew up in Brownsville, Texas.
He spent his younger years in Texas, before moving to Arizona, where he met the love of his life, Rosa Sandoval, in 1967. They were married on November 21, 1968, and were married for 55 years, until he made his journey home. They moved from Arizona to Washington, where they raised their four children.
He is the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren, Michael (Bryanna) Harvey, Ryan Sanchez, TJ Riojas, Angelica Sanchez, Julian Sanchez, Jesse Sanchez, Adrian Riojas and one great-granddaughter, Scarlett Sanchez.
Lupe loved the outdoors and passed his love for hunting, fishing and being outdoors to his children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter.
He spent his career hauling fruit and as a farm laborer in the Yakima Valley.
His humor, loving spirit, and loyalty will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was a believer in Jesus and was reunited in heaven with his parents, Petra Garcia and Trinidad Sanchez, sister, Esperanza Sanchez, sister, Elena G., brothers, David E., Luis E. and Rolando G. Lupe is survived by his wife. Rosa Sanchez, children, Jesse Moreno, Ruben Sanchez, Raynaldo (Nina) Sanchez, and Andriana Sanchez, seven grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. He is also survived by his siblings, Candelaria S., Catalina S., Juana S., Libraea Z.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 11:00am, at Brookside Funeral Home (500 W Prospect Rd, Moxee, WA 98936). A Memorial Luncheon will follow at The Warehouse (Perham Hall - Downstairs) (705 Railroad Ave, Zillah, WA 98953). Please feel free to bring your favorite dish to share. Plates, utensils, and drinks will be provided.
