Jose A. Valdez, 72 formerly of Oak Harbor, OH died Thursday, June 19, 2025 in Columbus, OH. He was born June 24, 1952 in Port Clinton, OH to the late Jose and Maybelle (Mincer) Valdez. He was also a Veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include his daughter Jacquline Bates of Port Clinton, OH; grandson Dymond; siblings: Belinda (Richard) Horstman of Springfield, OH, John Valdez of Oak Harbor, OH, Marie Valdez of Mt. Sterling, KY, William Paul Valdez of Oak Harbor, OH, Violet (Willie) Clay of Mt. Sterling, KY, and Christine (Rocky) Walton of Mt. Sterling, KY; nieces and nephews: John, John, Justin, Ethan, Shane, Tami, and Michael. He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece Kendra.
Private family services will be held by the family in Mount Sterling, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 301 N. Locust St., Oak Harbor, OH 43449 to help with funeral costs. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.crosserpriesman.com.
