Jose Antonio Vidal

Jose Antonio Vidal, born on February 16, 1964, in Medellin, Colombia, passed away on August 26, 2025, at the age of 61. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather. A man of great character and dedication, known for his selflessness, helpful nature, and deep love for those around him. Jose's life was marked by service and commitment. He proudly served as a veteran of the United States Marines, where he demonstrated unwavering courage and loyalty. Following his military service, he worked as a mechanic for Delta, showcasing his technical skills and attention to detail. His career path then led him to the City of Atlanta, where he served as a police officer and later as a K9 officer, roles in which he displayed bravery and compassion. Beyond his professional life, Jose was an amazing guitar player, whose music brought joy to many. His passion for music was matched only by his devotion to his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Maria Del Pilar Cordoba, who stood by his side through life's journey. Jose was a loving father to his children, Garrett Vidal (Megan), Arden Vidal, Santiago Gallo (Alexia), Alejandro Gallo. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Luciano Gallo and Alexios Gallo, bringing joy and wisdom to their lives. Jose is also survived by his parents, Francisco Hernan Vidal and Herlinda Vidal, who instilled in him the values of hard work and integrity. He leaves behind his siblings, Pat Vidal, Carmen Scott, and Francisco Vidal, who shared in the bonds of family and friendship. A celebration of Jose's life will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior. His legacy of service and love will be remembered by all who knew him. He will be dearly missed.
