With profound love and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Josefa "Josie" Lorraine Saleh, who entered eternal rest on July 3, 2025, at the age of 87.
Born on March 19, 1938, Josie was the third oldest of 11 siblings. Raised in a home full of warmth, tradition, and strong family values, Josie carried those lessons throughout her life and shared them with every generation she touched.
She was the devoted wife of the late Manuel Saleh Sr., whom she now rejoins in heaven, along with many of her beloved siblings. She leaves behind her loving sister, Dolores Cardenas, the last surviving sibling of their close-knit family.
Josie was the proud and devoted mother of Claudette Saleh, Valerie Saleh, Manuel Saleh Jr., and Jackie Saleh, and the heart of a family rooted in love. She was a treasured grandmother to Vangie Arevalo, Chantell Mejia, Matthew Deherrera, and Adam Deherrera, a joyful great-grandmother to many, and a cherished aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Her home was always open, her hands always helping, and her heart always full. Josie's legacy is one of unconditional love, unwavering faith, and quiet strength. She will be remembered for her warmth, her wisdom, and the way she brought people together.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her husband and siblings, embraced in the eternal peace of heaven.
Until we see you again in heaven, Grandma-your love continues to guide us.
A Memorial Service to honor Josie's life will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM at:
Guardian Angels Catholic Church
1843 W 52nd Ave
Denver, CO 80221
A potluck gathering will follow in the church hall. All are welcome to attend, share memories, and celebrate her beautiful life.
