Joseph Anthony Albert, 59, of Bluffton, SC, formerly of Plymouth MA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 3, 2025 at his home.
Joe was born April 10, 1966 in Racine, WI to Lucille George Albert and the late Anthony Alfred Albert. He attended Basic Training for the Coast Guard during his last years of high school and was honored to serve in the Coast Guard Reserves. He worked over 32 years for Massachusetts State Police and retired in Feb 2020 as Sergeant. Joe loved his MSP brothers and sisters dearly.
Joe was an avid Harley motorcycle rider and shared many miles with his wife and motorcycle family. Motorcycle travel was his passion and he made it to all but six states, which he planned to complete with his wife and friends in 2026.
Joe served as the president of both the motorcycle and fishing clubs in Sun City Hilton Head, where he lived the last four years of his life. Joe was also a member of the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club and the Lowcountry Retired Law Enforcement Officers Association. He recently found a passion for competitive shooting events.
In addition to his adoring wife of six years, Sandy Albert, Joe is survived by his mother, Lucille Albert; son, Joseph Albert of Taunton, MA; sister, Christine Santos and brother-in-law, Todd of Franklin, MA; niece, Zoe Santos, also of Franklin, MA; and his step-daughter Lindsey Moreira and her husband, Christian of Copperas Cove, TX, as well as his first wife, Dawn McCreadie Albert. Joe also had many friends who loved him dearly and appreciated his sense of humor and fun spirit.
